Golden Dream

"No dream comes true until you wake up and go to work."

Congratulations to the mens olympic hockey team who prevailed in overtime on a goal by none other than 22 year old hockey icon Sidney Crosby. A moment that Canadians have dreamed of, played out before us on live television. The emotion and passion displayed by the Canadians was really cool to watch, the determination, effort and sacrifice from years of practice paid off in an instant. The thrill of victory must have been so sweet for the players, and it perhaps the greatest hockey celebration of all time swept across a nation.

Ironically enough before the game it was the media, including, TSN and CTV that had already pointed the finger at Sidney Crosby. Had Canada lost, he surely would have been the whipping boy, and the blame squarly placed on his shoulders. But it's big time players, who react to the pressure and make big time plays. Crosby worked a give and go, and took feed from Jerome Igina and slide a quick shot between the legs of Ryan Miller, a goal that will be heard for generations to come.

This afternoon hockey game was the end of what was truly a great olympics, Canada wins the most (14) gold medals ever by any nationm which nobody predicted.

See you in Russia, where more Canadians athletes dreams will come true.

PS - Can we do without Brian Williams in 2012, I heard way too much of this guy these last 17 days.
