PEAC STUNS ST. JEAN THE BAPTIST 3-2! MCDAVID GOAL WITH 5.4 SECONDS REMAINING WINS TOURNAMENT

Trailing 2-0 until late in the third period, PEAC stormed all the way back, showing great character and perseverance to capture the 2010 Brampton Battalion Elementary School Hockey Tournament.

Connor McDavid scored with 5.4 seconds left on the clock to secure the victory for the defending champions. After missing a penalty shot earlier in the game, McDavid more than made up for it when the game was on the line and buried his opportunity.

After a timeout, a rested Dante Salturo took the puck into the heart of the Jaguars defense, got the goalie moving and slid the biscut into the open net tying the game 2-2 with just over a minute left.

More updates, championship game statistics, video, and photos to follow.

Congratulations to all players and goalies, outstanding effort all around.

Thanks to parents for driving and support on both days of the tournament, also a big thanks to Jason in the office for all his travel planning with picture day.

Top Forwards: Jake Gilmour, Steve Mariani, Declan Mestal
Top Defensemen: Michael Givens, Jordan Harris
Winning Goalie: Marcel Leclerc
