Just a quick update on some activities in the boys hockey program.

The first week back we conducted the second of three dry land fitness tests for both the U14 and U16 age groups.

On Wednesday this past week the Toronto and London campuses battled each other in the annual U14 PEAC Jamboree, the winner to claim bragging rights and the highly regarded PEAC Cup. Below is a quick summary of the results:

Jamboree Event Results:

Soccer game was won by London 4-3 in a close match.
Soccer shoot out ended in a tie.
London won the soccer ball keep-ups competition.

Toronto won the hockey game 7-4.
London won the hockey skills - fastest lap and relay race.
Toronto won the hockey shoot out - big shout-out to the goalies from both squads who stopped 9 of the 12 attempted shots!
London earned the shoot out 'best flair' point.

Best spirit/sportsmanship awards:

Toronto: Griffen Coutts and Mateo Cabral for soccer. Taylor Jackson and Reagan O'Grady for hockey.
London: Sean O'Brien and Evan Hogg for soccer. Willy Lochead and Isaac Ratcliffe for hockey.

Spirit points were pretty even most of the day. Kids had a great time but in the end London got to keep the trophy for a second year in a row, winning the Jamboree by 1 point!
