Ryan Anderson B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed., O.C.TRyan brings a wealth of experience and educational acumen to the PEAC team. Raised among a family of educators, he has an established track record of success in regards to staff development, student success, and academic excellence. Ryan has a passion for inspiring learning within and outside of the classroom, and is eager to continue his commitment for overall student success and growth within the model that PEAC has crafted.Ryan has served as a teacher, department head, and director within secondary and post-secondary schools.

His administrative accomplishments include staff mentoring, student performance and retention levels, school community enhancement, and a reputation for consistency and fairness in policy and decision-making. He tirelessly promotes the school and its students within the community, and has been instrumental in the success of numerous athletes in their scholarship and national team endeavours. Ryan believes in the opportunities for learning and growth that sport creates, and is eager to merge these beliefs with a vigorous academic program for PEAC students.Ryan’s commitment to professional development in his own post-graduate studies serves him well in the day to day school operations, including: educational psychology, diversity in the classroom, the use of technology in classroom, classroom management, and the incorporation of learning styles within instruction. He has also shown a commitment to professional development in workshops he has attended. These include sessions on school and cyber-bullying, methods of assessment and evaluation, conflict and crisis management, suicide and depression among teens, substance abuse, and trends in cooperative and experiential education.

At the core of Ryan’s beliefs is the need for all education professionals to be current with trends and information to better serve students.  Ryan possesses extensive curriculum knowledge, both as a teacher, department head, and administrator. He has been a department and school lead on numerous ministry audits and has experience building interdisciplinary courses, summer programs, and study-abroad programs for ministry approval. His curriculum experience ranges from grades 7-12 and crosses disciplines, from social studies to business studies, interdisciplinary and locally developed courses, and physical education. Ryan enthusiastically endorses experiential education within all subject matter. This is illustrated in the innovative teaching practises and curriculum innovation that he has brought to courses both as a teacher and administrator.

Ryan’s commitment to the success of the student goes far beyond day to day class instruction. He has been instrumental in the success of many programs that ensured the development of the students that he has led, and has been successful in working with students who have enjoyed success as student-athletes on national teams and at the Canadian and American varsity level. He was an integral member of a summer study-abroad program in Costa Rica, and successfully planned student travel ventures to various locations across North America. Within the school, he has formed and administered school “SOS” and peer mentoring committees, and student orientation programs that were successful in motivating new and struggling students to achieve.

Further, Ryan has been successful in enhancing the image of the school and its students through extensive community involvement programs that ensured timely completion of required community service hours and the enhancement of the school in the community.

Doubtless Ryan’s recognition of the importance of sport in the development of successful scholars comes through his own athletic achievements. He is a qualified NCCP coach and has coached school and club hockey, squash, baseball, football, golf, and soccer teams. He is experienced with and more than comfortable working within recruiting regulations, and has been successful in promoting student-athletes. As an athlete himself, Ryan has competed at the varsity, national, and international level in squash, baseball, and golf, and when time permits is still active and competitive. Good luck Mr. Anderson and welcome to the greatest school in the world!

We can't wait to show you what we have!

Sincerely,

The PEAC Administration
