Hounds best Reps to take Telus Cup

Halifax’s Liam O’Brien scored at 7:56 of the third period to lift the Notre Dame (Sask.) Hounds to a 3-2 win over the Mississauga (Ont.) Reps yesterday to claim the Telus Cup as Canadian midget AAA hockey champions.

O’Brien, a 15-year-old forward and one of four Nova Scotians ranked as a first-round prospect for June’s QMJHL draft, helped the Wilcox-based school tie a record with four gold medals at the event.

Current PEAC student Chris Goulet and PEAC alumni Malcolm Subban and Terry Trafford were key members of the Mississauga Reps, great season boys!
