Karson, my 6 month old son and I first heard of the earthquake that hit Chile this morning on CNN at around 3am when we were up for some strange reason. Now, as warning sirens are sounding every half hour in Hawaii, the South Pacific regions brace for tsunami after Chile quake Wide swaths of the South Pacific, Asia and Australia brace for a tsunami after a devastating earthquake hit the coast of Chile on Saturday, killing at least 64 people.
Big picture events like this serve as reminders, we are lucky to train and play fun things like hockey everyday. We live in an amazing great country with tremendous infrastructure and public facilities. Kids growing up in other parts of the world do not have the opportunities afforded to adolescents of a country like ours. Be greatful for what you have and take full advantange of your privilages everyday.
Give some thought to the people in the danger zone, President Obama certainly has, as I watch his news conference live from Washington.
