PEAC STAR JOSH HOSANG IN THE NEWS!
OHL: Getting to know Joshua Ho-Sang a little better,
By Neate Sager
People in Toronto hockey circles are already on to Joshua Ho-Sang, the swift-skating centre who, as an underaged player, helped the Toronto Marlboros win the OHL Cup AAA midget tournament last season.
It's worth noting Ho-Sang also ends up being the strongest personality in a short film the NHLPA produced about last month's Allstate All-Canadians Camp in Toronto, a mentoring event that included 42 15-year-old prodigies from across the talent. It's nothing earth-shattering, sort of a blow-by-blow of how the youngsters, including the OHL and WHL's No. 1 overall picks, the Barrie Colts' Aaron Ekblad and Calgary Hitmen's Jake Virtanen, got a week of learning what it takes to be a NHLer from various pros. The best moments are the interviews of Ho-Sang, which are intercut with some insights from his father, Wayne Ho-Sang:
Allstate All-Canadians -- The Experience from NHLPA on Vimeo.

This quote from Joshua Ho-Sang really sort of sums up the existence of a premier hockey talent at that age. He's still not that far removed from being the youngster watching Hockey Night In Canada, in the great national myth, but realizing he could be close to realizing it for himself in a few short years, albeit against long, long odds.
"When I walked in the NHLPA office, they had pictures of a bunch of really good hockey players — Patrick Kane, [Sidney] Crosby, [Alexander] Ovechkin ... I want to be one of those guys and that's my goal. It was really fascinating to me because I've never experienced that. I'm excited."
No doubt BTN will be writing more about Ho-Sang sooner rather than later.
